Tintype Photography

This photoshoot is dedicated and inspired by a few of my close friends who recently lost their pups. My heart is with them all. They all expressed to me some things they wished they did more with their dogs and one that they all shared was capturing more moments and photographs together.

It’s wild to think Roman has been part of my life for almost ten years now, I can’t even imagine my world without. He is still the super happy, fun and healthy pup that he was when I first got him. Wanted to document him just like this. I’ve always been intrigued by tintype photography as it’s one of the oldest types of photograph processes dating back to the 1850’s. Having this memory now with Roman was definitely one for the books. One shot in time is all you get which makes it quite difficult with a pup. Grateful both our eyes were open and Roman with his signature one ear up!

The whole process and creating was so fun with Myron Hensel Photography. The studio space and whole experience was absolutely perfect! Thank you, Myron. If you find yourself DTLV, definitely stop by his studio located in Ferguson’s Downtown.

Nikdreamer has participated as a vendor for Renegade craft for the past couple years (NYC and this past in Denver). I think it's one of my favorite events we participate in annually. This past year I was honored when they reached out to share our dreamers healing kits with them in their curated maker sets for their new online store. Roads less traveled shoot

To all those times we didn't know what road to take. I will never forget the first time reading The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost. A poem I have lived by.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

To all those deserted dirt roads that lead you to the most beautiful places. This was one of those moments. Had a blast shooting for fun and exploring with these two in the old gold mines and abandon homes in the mountains of Idaho, CO. So grateful to have crossed paths with these two since moving here.  This was actually my first time shooting in Denver. I forgot how much I love these kinds of collabs. Dark Beauty

A couple weeks ago, in the blurr of the holiday craziness i had the pleasure to work with some talented local artists and makers on a shoot called, "Dark Beauty." I recently met Mae Mariano (make-up stylist) for the shoot through instagram, when she asked if I'd like to collab on this shoot. She did all the coordinating (and hair and make-up) for this whole "Dark Beauty" vision. Couldn't have worked with a better team! Serentity Shae, who modeled, miss Elle Heavin who designed the wardrobe for the shoot, and lastly photographer Antonia Abrego who shot this beautiful collection. Such a fun high energy shoot right before Christmas. Loved it! Even Roman had a blast on his first time out at photo shoot.
