Holiday 15'

The past few weeks have been one wild holiday adventure after participating in 5 local pop - up shops, finishing up holiday orders with shipping deadlines, customs, a mid-december mountain escape, while working on a new collection to launch in January. I'm exhausted even thinking about everything we've done this past month.. But we made it! Merry Christmas Eve!! I want to thank you all for your support along the way this holiday season.. and this year. It's been an amazing year. I have a few more blog posts to follow before this year ends.. but here's a little photo diary of what we've been up to these last few weeks.

Zion Nat'l Park

More from Zion.. including the canyon overlook, emerald pools, and watchman trails. The canyon overlook was the first hike we did, right when we got in. We got up to the canyon just before sunset and all shared a bottle of wine at the top to start our weekend. The walk back was a little chilly as the sun was setting, but the wine did help a little! Emerald pools was the second hike we did which was a gorgeous hike with all the mountains around and emerald pools, although that hike was all in between the mountain (no sun) and it was so cold that day! I froze on that trail. The last hike we did was one of my favorites, the watchman hike. I had a slight obsession with all the turquoise sandstone throughout trail. That hike was a beautiful easy hike all on the sunny side of the mountain a perfect way to end the weekend. Zion, you are magical.

Zion Mountain Ranch

This was my second stay at ZMR - which is a beautiful ranch right outside Zion National Park. My east coast babes from college flew in to Vegas the for the weekend and we all wanted a little mountain getaway so we headed north to Zion. When we got there it hadn't snowed yet, but the first morning we woke to a winter wonderland which was just so dreamy! My December wish came true. I haven't seen snow in so long, I forgot how pretty that first snow fall is. I got some pics I shared below on our morning walk around the ranch.. and then enjoyed the house skillet breakfast at the buffalo grill. Since we came off season there wasn't many options for meals on the menu, but the grill cooked some amazing house dishes just for us. Our dinner there was also quite memorable, especially with that cheese plate documented below, we could never forget! Serious cheese heaven. I just love this ranch life... especially with all the animals wandering around. Roosters, lamb, ponies, bison, horses... I loved them all! Two nights is just not enough. I'm ready to go back.

Sweet December

Sweet December. Since it doesn't snow where I live... I must go seek a little bit of winter white and evergreen this month. Looking forward to a cabin adventure next weekend in Zion with my east coast babes to celebrate some holiday together! Found some winter inspo on pinerest this am. Wanted to share on the blog today to get us all in winter feels. Remember it's the little things that make December so sweet.. that first hot cocoa, fresh cut wood, oatmeal instead of cold cereal, a snowfall, movie nights in, decorating your tree, homemade christmas cookies, pulling out your winter boots, gloves, hats, scarfs, and sweaters. Sometimes we get so caught up in the stress of finding the perfect gifts during holiday season.. that we forget the little sweet moments of sharing things so simple with the ones we love is really the best gift.

5 days and counting..

upstate NY and fall goods

I try to get back in the north east at least once a year for a visit. My favorite time to visit is mid fall as the leaves are changing, although this trip happened a little earlier than expected but still excited me for what's to come this season. I grew up in Albany, NY so when I go back east I always make time to spend with my family and friends in my home town. This September marks four years for me as a Nevada resident, and I never would have thought when my family and I took that cross country road trip back in September 2011, that I'd stay this long. These visits back east always do make me miss parts of home, especially during this season. Really there is no fall that compares to fall upstate!

During this past visit I took a drive out to Middleburgh, NY with my aunt, mom, and grandma which is where we used to go on day trips for all the farmer and antique markets when I was a kid. I hadn't been on this drive in over twenty years.. so it was quite a trip down memory lane. The drive out to this part of the country is just so beautiful there really are no words to describe it. I hardly captured any photos during my travels back east, but on this day I did. I wanted to remember all those simple things..  those little things that I grew up around and forget how much I miss when I'm back in Vegas. Hoping I can make it back for another visit before this year ends, there are still so many faces I didn't get to see and miss so much. Here's to a new season.. and a preview of some fall goods to come!
