adventures, love, and dreams

i try and keep my blog as honest and real to me, for this is the space i've created over the years that shares a lot of my personal life. this space is very special to me and i thank all who come and visit. those of you who know me, and from what i've shared throughout my adventure, you know this move has not been the easiest. i am still that 20 something year old running wild, learning so much about myself every day and trying to figure this "life" thing out. i truly believe you have to take chances in this life and never be afraid of adventures or change. everyday people ask me, why vegas?? my reply is always the same, why not? i'm still young.. who knows what's next or what tomorrow will bring, but living in the adventure is so much better than doing nothing. i hope my story inspires all to always follow your heart and dreams. i am very much looking forward to the upcoming months, and what they will bring. i can only hope for the best and at the end of the day.. at least i can always say my heart is true and full of love.

7 simple things

it has been a minute since doing a 7 simple things post, and sometimes i feel we all need that little reminder in our week of those things that make us smile. i feel like every week in vegas is a constant roller coaster for me, full of surprises, adventures, and unexpected turns. some good, some bad. i know we are only two weeks in to january 2012, and already it has been full of surprises and unexpected turns that i could never have imagined. i cannot even begin to describe my month in words, i guess that's life in vegas for you. i'm just hoping for some clarity soon.. but the things that keep me going are all those little moments. here's a peak at 7 things that made me happy this past week.

the love bracelet

just in time for valentines day, i added a new addition to my bracelet collection, called "the love bracelet." you can find them on my etsy shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/nikdreamer. there are many more sets to come soon on my shop, including new color beads, turquoise, skulls, crosses, evil eyes, and the rebel bracelet!! i've also made customized name bracelets, for my friend's three year old girls. the girls love em! <3 see spring preview below.

bon appétit: food lover's cleanse

my mouth is watering looking at all the photos and recipes to bon appétit's 2012 two-week healthy cooking challenge. there's no better way to start off the new year than a healthy diet and home cooking. the best thing about these recipes is that they include the full two-week grocery list. i'm so ready to start food shopping tomorrow.. bon appétit!
