7 simple things

i haven't done my weekly post in awhile not because i haven't wanted to, but because unfortunately my hard drive crashed a few weeks back and i lost all my photos i just updated on my macbook. lesson of the year: use the external hard drive.

in the past few weeks i have had many moments to share. this has been a very exciting month so far with my family that all have returned back to albany for the summer, will's brother just got out of the navy and has returned home, and my sister graduated college! Looking forward to spending the summer with all of them.

inspire me

it seems spring weather is never going to come in upstate ny. we'll get one warm sunny day, and then ten cold rainy days. i've been feeling so uninspired lately.. trying to get myself out of this mood and bring in some inspiration!

opi shatttter

my sister just bought me OPI black shatter from the katy perry collection. i've heard of it before but never seen it on anyone except in pictures. i put it over top a hot pink color i already had on, and now i'm going to have the urge every time i put on my nail polish to add the shatter. it's used as a black top coat, that shatters as it dries. very cool stuff! i guess shatter comes in a variety of colors, but black is definitely a favorite.

weekend road trip

this morning i woke up and felt like going for a drive. my sister's college, cazenovia is a little over two hours away so i figured it would be the perfect day trip! cazenovia is a really small town. there's not much to do there at all, but they do have this beautiful park 10 minutes outside of town, called the chittenango falls state park. much of it is still frozen over, but still so beautiful. made for the perfect sunday adventure!

all decked out

this weekend will and i plan to clean up our beautiful deck that has been winterized for the past 5 months. we've been thinking of new ideas for our set up this year. i've been looking at many different outdoor patio sites for ideas, such as all decked out. i love some of these nyc patios!!

last year we used our deck almost every day, for morning coffees, cocktails, parties, tanning, bbqing, dinners, and hang outs with friends. will's mom works at a green house and brings us these gorgoeus potted plants, can't wait to see what she bring us this year! we're so lucky we have such great outdoor space with an amazing view of the city skyline. especially, for the fireworks on forth of july!!
